LMISC is more than just a competition - it's a Wagner festival! Meeting at the wonderful Musikkens Hus (House of Music) in beautiful Aalborg, together with singers from all over the world, was a great experience. To be able to make music with the great sounding and sensitive Aalborg Symphony Orchestra was a pleasure, and I'm really looking forward to coming back in the future. I was incredibly well received and taken care of by the competition organizers. Thank you for an engaging, inspiring and very well-organized competition.

I was enjoying a well organized competition, lovely people behind the stage and in the audience! I appreciated and got good advices from the multi-talented Jury of the competition.

I can’t remember the last time I had so much fun at an opera competition. The organizers, orchestra, staff, and other singers were wonderful.  The Lauritz Melchior International Singing Competition is without a doubt the most well organized vocal competition I have seen.  From day one everyone was lovely and so helpful.

The experience of singing with the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra is one I will never forget, they are such a supportive group and I look forward to working with them again.

To compare with some other competitions that I've participated in the past, even they are little more famous or historical,

it was the most well organized competition. Everything was certain and well informed, so I did not need to concern by my self.

You and your team have really deserved!

LMISC has had a huge impact on my career as an opera singer. In 2014, when I participated in the competition, I was totally unknown within the Wagner profession.

I reached the finals and was awarded both Second Prize, and the Orchestra Prize. Not only were the eyes and ears of the Danish opera audience made aware of me, but it also marked the beginning of my international career as a dramatic tenor.

I am deeply grateful to Aalborg Symphony Orchestra and LMISC for a huge and unforgettable experience, and an invaluable pat on the back for my 'new' career.
