Leif Greibe

Accompanist

Leif Greibe studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen with Professor José Ribera. Even before his graduation in 1992, he was employed by The Royal Danish Theatre as Chorus Master. He has since collaborated on more than one hundred opera productions.

He is also one of Denmark’s most sought after accompanists and chamber musicians, and has given numerous concerts in Europe, Asia and North America.

Leif Greibe is also co-founder of Danish Strings, which has held summer courses for string players since 1999.

The Royal Danish Theatre, Copenhagen Opera Festival, Den Fynske Opera and guidOpera also often draw on Leif Greibe’s great talent as an arranger of opera scores for chamber ensembles. His abilities in this field are of decisive importance for Helsingør Kammeropera, where, in addition to his role as music director, he is also conductor and arranger.
