The Lauritz Melchior International Singing Competition 2017 has four rounds: 


• Preliminary Round, with piano accompaniment – 10th November 2017 
• Quarter-final, with piano accompaniment – 11th November 2017 
• Semi-final, with Aalborg Symphony Orchestra – 15th November 2017 
• Gala-final, with Aalborg Symphony Orchestra – 18th November 2017 

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 
• 16 participants will be selected for the preliminary round 
• 12 participants will go through to the quarter-final 
• 8 participants will go through to semi-final 
• 4 participants will go through to the Gala-final 

ALL FOUR ROUNDS ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC 
There is free access to the preliminary round, quarter-final and following rehearsals with singers and orchestra:


Monday 13th November from 10 am to 2 pm
Tuesday 14th November from 10 am to 2 pm
Thursday 16th November from 11 am to 3 pm
Friday 17th November from 10 am to 2 pm

All orchestral rehearsals take place in the concert hall of Musikkens Hus.

Preliminary round and Quarter-final begin at 11 am and take place in Intimsalen, Musikkens Hus.

At the semi-final and Gala-final admission to the public is by ticket only- buy tickets
